Welcome! This site holds an online journal, a photo gallery, information about me which I'd love to share with everyone who is interested.

I fell in love with writing in High School. I love the process of story-telling, sharing bits of my life, and creating an experience with words and pictures. I absolutely love the fact that this site is MINE and I can control everything about it - from what it looks like, to what I say (bursts into a sinister laugh).

I write about my daily adventures - as a mother of a teenager, as a partner to my actor/director boy-friend, as a young woman enjoying the fullness of life, as a girly-girl who loves to shop, and a dancer who still dreams to perform with Madonna.

I like to write about my life, a few brazen thoughts here and there, and finding inspiration and happiness in the small simple pleasures of life. Ok...with the, extravagant and luxurious ones too!

Happy 24th Birthday, Julie!

Obviously, am still in denial.

Our very good friend from L.A. arrived last week and we promised him we would "rampage" when he gets here to Manila. Then I realized, I haven't been going out to party for quite some time now! I wasn't Julie-the social butterfly anymore. Not for the last 2-3 years. Where do I bring my gay friend? Malate is the gay district, but where there? So, I texted my good friend and co-dancer, Charles. He suggested that we meet up with him and some of my other gay friends in this 3-day-old club called FAB. Apparently it was co-owned by 3 of our other co-dancers! How can I have not known this?!

My hana and I arrived 5 minutes before 12 midnight. I was greeted by Charles, Dion( who seemed to have conveniently made friends with charles and the other owners already), Lito, Lou and a few more of my gay friends.

Everyone started trickling in. Gay friends I used to dance with, gay designer friends, gay friends that do production work, gay socialite friends, gay impersonator friends, and so many more!

"Happy birthday to you..., happy birthday to you...". Everyone started to sing! Charles and Dion walk in with a chocolate birthday cake they got at a nearby restaurant. Aaaaaaw! How sweet! As they were finishing off the song, I was checking out the demographics in the room...They were all gay men! I was the only real woman in that room and my hana was the only real man there too! The thought of celebrating the first few hours of my special day surrounded by all my lovely gay friends thrilled me to no end!!! And to think it wasn't even planned. They just all happen to be there! Ang saya!

Aaaargh. I should've brought my camera. That was indeed a Kodak moment. Gay birthday to me!
