Oprah made me cry

I never cried this much watching Oprah. Her guests were the cast of Ladder 49 (John Travolta, Joaquin Phoenix, etc.) who were there not only to promote their movie but also to pay tribute to 2 fire-fighters from Baltimore who risked their lives to save a fellow fireman. John Travolta came by their station and told them that they're invited to guest in Oprah's show. And as if that was not enough, John Tarvolta said that he will personally fly them there on his 707 jet plane (FYI: in case you didn't know, he's a pilot and he owns a plane)! The fireman that they rescued was a surprise guest and he awarded them both with a medal of honor. At this point, John Travolta was crying like a baby (men are so cute when they cry!). Well, everyone was. Me included. It was so touching it was so hard not to! ~~~~~~~~~~ Oprah also paid tribute to Mattie Stepanek. I didn't know that he passed away last June! Since Mattie loved the firemen, he was given the full fire-fighters funeral. Thousands of his family and fans (politicains and celebrities included) gathered to say their last goodbyes to this amazing kid who captured the hearts of millions around the world. Oprah calls him, "My Guy" . His mother was there and she recounted Mattie's last few hours. It was like a scene from a movie! Oprah, John, Joaquin, and everyone else were in tears. Mine just kept pouring out. Mattie was a kid with so much wisdom and love in him. Mattie Stepanek- the daddy, the writer and the peacemaker. That was what he would have wanted to be. He will be missed. Rest in peace, kiddo.
