Disney Drama

It was only last month when there was so much hoopla on the Hong Kong Disney auditions here in Manila. My friends from the industry (singers, dancers, musicians, actors) scurried to San Miguel Corp. to submit their application forms and resumes. And days later came the auditions. Since Tuesday, I found out that all of my friends got “the call” already -- Kuya Jaime (my cousin from Powerdance), Ralion (Alonzo, remember him from EZ Dancing?), Rony (musical director and great keyboardist/pianist for some of my hana’s plays), and 9 of my co-dancers from Hotlegs are definitely in. They’re off to Hong Kong! Congratulations you guys! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lying down on our bed, my hana turns to his side to face me. I gaze into his eyes and smile brightly…waiting for him to say something sweet to me. Hanaboy: (deadpan and looking at my smile) “metal mouth.” Hanagirl: (frowns) Hanaboy: “You’re an abre lata!” Hanagirl: (pauses for a moment) Hanagirl and Hanaboy: (cracks up) Bwahahahahahaha! Great, my hana says I’m a can opener.
