Welcome! This site holds an online journal, a photo gallery, information about me which I'd love to share with everyone who is interested.

I fell in love with writing in High School. I love the process of story-telling, sharing bits of my life, and creating an experience with words and pictures. I absolutely love the fact that this site is MINE and I can control everything about it - from what it looks like, to what I say (bursts into a sinister laugh).

I write about my daily adventures - as a mother of a teenager, as a partner to my actor/director boy-friend, as a young woman enjoying the fullness of life, as a girly-girl who loves to shop, and a dancer who still dreams to perform with Madonna.

I like to write about my life, a few brazen thoughts here and there, and finding inspiration and happiness in the small simple pleasures of life. Ok...with the, extravagant and luxurious ones too!

And the Good News...

2 weeks ago, I went to see my Oby-gyn for my annual pap smear. Good thing I did because she found 2 polyps (cysts), which she immediately took out. It was a bit uncomfortable coz the polyps were lodged deep in my cervical cavity. However, she feels there might be more inside my uterus so she scheduled me for an ultrasound in 2 weeks. And if she is right, “kailangan kitang raspahin”, she sadly informed me. Raspa is when they put you to sleep and clean your uterus. It’s what they do after a woman gives birth. I’m not sure what it’s called in English though.

Background: Before she also found 2 of these benign cysts and assured me that it is no cause for panic since “it happens” and is rarely harmful. The only hitch is that it comes back on a yearly basis and for that reason, I also have to regularly see her to have it taken out. Hassle. Another snag is that these polyps are the cause of infertility since it occupies the space needed for the embryo to grow. Crap. And that’s why I have to have it removed regularly too. I wanna have kids pa, noh!

2 weeks later…

I was really restless on my way to the hospital this afternoon. If the polyp didn’t kill me, my massive anxiety and tension would’ve. I slipped on my lab gown and looked fearfully at the ceiling, calling on to Him as my doctor probed my uterus with the ultrasound machine.

Doc: “When was the last time you had contact (sex)?”

Me: (Baffled by the query) Huh? Um, about a few days ago? Baket?

Doc: (Smiling) "nag ovulate ka na eh. Sana maka-buo".

Me: (My internal dialog: “Ah ok, so pwede ko na ba malaman kung may polyp ako? Hello?! ”)

Doc: “You’re ok! No polyps in your uterus”.

Me: (Feeling relieved and sighs heavily) Yay!

God is good.

Another good news is my babygirl tried out for her school’s tennis varsity team…and she made it! I’m just a proud momma!!!

God has been so showing off to me these days, I swear! :)
